Throughout the pandemic, assisted living visitation has been halted in order to keep residents safe. Kenwood Care Assisted Living remained vigilant in their protocols and visitation policy. Our homes have remained COVID free.
Vaccination Update
All four of our Howard County locations have received both doses of the vaccination. Residents and staff will reach full vaccination status two weeks following the second shot. Glen Hill has passed this milestone. Maple Hill, Autumn Hill, and Pine Hill will achieve that status on March 17th.
Visitation Update
Governor Hogan announced an ease in COVID-19 restrictions beginning on Friday, March 12th. As our staff and residents reach full vaccination status, our policy on assisted living visitation is changing. Visitation options will now include the following:
- In-person, indoor visitation will now be permitted. Visits will need to be scheduled with our house manager. This will allow us to spread out the number of people in our residences. Visitors must wear a mask at all times. You can visit any day you want. We ask that you try to schedule during less busy times: 10am-12pm, 1pm-4pm.
- Outdoor visitation is also allowed. Social distancing of 6-feet must be maintained at all times.
- Skype, FaceTime, Zoom calls and window visits will continue to be offered for those feeling more comfortable with those options.
We are moving closer to life returning to normal. At this time we must remain vigilant with our safety protocols. Our community has sacrificed so much to get here safely. Family interactions are so important to the health and well-being of our residents. Please err on the side of caution wherever possible when visiting any of our assisted living homes.
Kenwood Care will continue to work with our medical partners, the health department and adhere to the CDC guidelines. We will continue to keep our beautiful, residential homes COVID-free.
