Senior Care is a Team Effort
June 26, 2019
As the old saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Similarly, it could be said that “it takes a village to care for the elderly.” It can be a stressful time when you come to the realization that an elderly loved one can no longer care for themselves. You may think you can care for them on your own, but we’ve found over the years that most people cannot adequately care for their loved one, no matter how hard they desire to.
The best way to ensure your loved one receives the care they need and deserve is to work with an experienced Maryland senior care provider. At Kenwood Care, our four senior assisted living facilities are staffed by teams of highly-trained and skilled individuals, and can not only meet, but exceed your loved one’s needs for personal care.
A Diverse Team
One of the main advantages of using a team approach to Maryland senior care is that you utilize the strengths of multiple people. Each member of our senior care specialist team brings something unique to the table. We employ medical professionals, therapists, and other types of caregivers in order to make available any sort of care that your loved one could need.
At Kenwood Care, we boast a 2.5:1 resident to caregiver ratio, which ranks among the best in the industry. We’ve heard horror stories of other facilities where the ratio is so far off that seniors can go hours without any help at all. Luckily, you won’t find that at Kenwood. We don’t just have numbers though, we have quality too. All of our professional team members are hand picked and are highly educated and trained in attending to the varying needs of the older adults that we provide residency for.
A Primary Advocate
While our seniors receive the service of our entire team, each one will be assigned a primary advocate. The primary advocate’s job is to manage and help with a variety of decisions regarding your loved one. This will be the person who works with them the most, and we feel this advocate is important to building and maintaining our residents’ comfort and confidence in our facilities.
Work With an Experienced Maryland Senior Care Provider
Here at Kenwood Care, senior care is our business, but it’s more than just that – it’s personal, too. We take great pride in our work, and enjoy every moment of every day while providing superior care to our Maryland residents. We don’t just work in Maryland, however, we live here too. Our senior residents aren’t just clients, they are our friends, neighbors, and cherished members of the Kenwood family.
If you believe your loved one could benefit from the services of a Maryland senior care provider, don’t wait before something like a fall happens. Give us a call today! Our team of care specialists are standing by and are ready to help you in any way possible.
